Cube Steak in Slow Cooker

Cube Steak in the slow cooker.
First you want to warm your slow cooker by placing 2 cups warm water the high setting.  To get your cooker warm.
For seasoning I used:
  1. Poultry seaoning
  2. Morton's season all
  3. Black pepper
  4. Italian seasoning
All purpose flour works well for the coating.  Coat your staeks with a light coating of flour.  No need for egg wash or water bath for your meat.  Place the meat right in the flour.
I brown my steaks in butter but you can use any oil you wish.
Once your pan has heated up to a medium high place your cube steak in just until it browns.
While your steak are browning make a side dish of gravy.  I like to use mushroom gravy for favor.  2 packets will do.

Once your meat has browned set to the side to let rest.  This way your meat will not lose to much blood and juices.
Pour your water out of your cooker. Whisk your gravy and place your fresh cut onions in the slow cooker and place on high.
Once your meat rested cut into smaller pieces more like stew size.
Combine with the other ingredients and cook on high for 4 hours or 8 hours on low.
After 4 hours enjoy over white rice.
