Two hours into my beef stew in the slow cooker. It still has eight more hours to go on low. I followed the recipe listed in the fix-it and forget-it slow cooker book purchased from wal-mart. Page 85 the first listed. Update-In the end my stew came out great. I cooked it slow on low for 10 hours. It was tender but could have used about 2 more hours, yum yum.
